Happy Saturday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July and that your weekend is off to a great start. I had to work until midnight last night, so I didn't get to watch any fireworks...the boys decided they didn't want to shoot our fireworks without me, so they decided to wait until tomorrow night...isn't that sweet!?!? Chad took the boys to another large fireworks display last night and they really enjoyed it.

My sister just found out that her landlord just sold the land that her house sits on and they are going to be moving it. She has until September 1st to move out...she is so upset. I feel terrible for her. Things were just starting to settle down for her and now this. She could hardly talk to me she was crying so hard on the phone...I just don't know what to tell her. I tried to explain to her that we would find something else for her. She is convinced that this is the end of her world. It will be hard to find something that a single mother can afford, but I am just sure that something will become available for her. Bless her little heart. I've tried and tried to get her to go stay with Mom and Dad and live in the bunk house, but she doesn't want to...so...I guess we'll just have to find something here for her.

I guess I've rambled enough for today...I have to be at work at 4:00, so I better get off here. Y'all have a great afternoon...hugs!

Good morning!!

I hope you are all having a great day so far. I just rolled my lazy butt out of bed...it was nice to sleep in a little bit! Austin stayed the night with a friend last night and Tanner was up late, so he slept in too.

We had a great time swimming yesterday. My face sunburned so bad...it's weird...nothing else is sunburned! We were out there for about 3 1/2 hours and it was so fun!

After we went swimming, we headed up to the Catfish Hole...it a great little place to eat that serves the best catfish. We went with the couple that has the pool and my sister and niece went as well. The food was great!

Tonight we are going to see a fireworks display at our city park and we are looking forward to that. It's always a great show. Anyway...I am just rambling so I think I will go visit all my reads and then get some cleaning done. Y'all have a great day! Hugs...

Hi y'all!!!

What a beautiful day today is going to be. The sun is shining and it's going to be HOT ---> and I love it!!!

I feel so rested today. I got home from practice last night, played on the Net for a while, and went to bed. Hubby was at work and had to work all night, so I had the bed all to myself! :o) I slept until about 9:30 this morning and got up before the boys to do some playing on e-bay. I love that place!

Now I am going to get ready and go have lunch with my best friend. We are going to a little steak house close to here, so that should be fun. I feel as though I haven't seen her in ages, but it's only been a week (if that long)!

After lunch I am going to take the boys swimming at a friend's house. I like going there so much more than going to our local water park. We have a really nice, new water park here but it's always just so darn crowded. Some of those people are really not so clean too and I worry about putting my kids in the same pool of water with them. Is that bad of me?!?

Well...I'm off to get ready for lunch. Y'all have a radiant day!

Happy Tuesday!

I don't have much time...just got home from work and now I am headed to the ball field (again). Austin has a scrimmage tonight (in preparation for District Tournament this weekend), but I wanted to say hi to all my blog buds! I guess I forgot to tell y'all that Austin made the all-Star team...WOO HOO!!! :)

Here's my Tuesday This or That:

1. Lemonade or Ice Cold Beer?
2. Swimming pool or beach?
3. Long weekends here & there, or a 2-week vacation?
4. Destination: Acapulco or Hawaii?
5. Destination: Mountains or Beach?
6. Hotel/motel/B&B or camping?
7. Carefully planned vacation, or play it by ear?
8. Sneakers or sandals?
9. Air-conditioning or fans?
10. Concerts in the park or baseball games?

There you go!! I might be back later tonight to blog some more. I will be back to visit all my reads...Have a great night! Hugs.

Hello Friends!

Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I haven't done much of anything today. I've done a little updating to my site, listened to the boys play and argue all morning, and took a nice long hot bath in the Jacuzzi (that was nice). Now...I need to start getting ready for work. I have to work until Midnight tonight and be back at work at 8:00 in the morning. Ugh...that's rough!!

I think I made hubby feel bad yesterday. The boys were wanting to do something and Chad said no because he had to mow the lawn and do some things around the house. I told him that the grass wasn't going anywhere and he still has two boys that need to spend time with him. He never does anything with just him and the boys. So...I left and went to tan. When I got home, they were all getting dressed to go to the movies! It's about time he learned to listen to me! LOL He took them to see Finding Nemo, went to ride go-carts, got snow cones, and went to get fireworks for next week. Chad said they had a great time! They are still talking about riding the go-carts.

Well, I better start getting ready...I hope you have all had a radiant weekend and that your week will be off to a great start. Big hugs!

Good Saturday Morning!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I went to campus yesterday and took care of some things for school this coming fall. I decided to go ahead and change my major and I am excited about going to nursing school. There sure is a lot of paper work to do to go to nursing school! I couldn't believe it! We have to maintain a certain grade point average, we have to take an exam to be admitted into the nursing part of it (and we have to pay $40 for the test), and the paper work is unreal! At any rate, I got it all taken care of and I am now enrolled in nursing school...well, the preliminary part of it anyway. I will have to take the exam in the fall, which I am sure will be okay.

I had to work last night and it was really busy! It amazes me what people will dial 9-1-1 for!!! I had to someone dial 9-1-1 because they hit a skunk on their way home...now I hardly think that is an emergency! It was hard not to laugh when I dispatched my officer on it. When I sent him up there, I didn't tell him what it was...he called me when he finished the call and we both just laughed about it. :)

I don't have any plans for today. I think I will go tan in a little bit and then come home and rest for a while. I have to be at work at 4:00, so not much to do much of anything today! Since it's Saturday night, I am sure it will be busy tonight.

Anyway...y'all have a super weekend! Big hugs!!

Good morning friends!
Happy Thursday!

It's a been a good week for me so far...how about all of you?!? I had to take the boys to the doctor yesterday for check-ups and Tanner had to get shots. It made us both cry. I cried because he was hurting, but I also cried because he is starting school. I am having huge issues with him starting school this fall. I mean, I cried when Austin started, but Tanner is the baby and it seems to really be bothering me. I also have huge issues with turning thirty in November...Am I crazy? Do I need to see a doctor? I haven't figure out why it's all bothering me so badly. Anyway...after the doctor's visit, we went to Red Lobster for lunch. The boys love it there and I thought they had earned a special treat for behaving so well...especially since Tanner was so brave.

After lunch, we went by to hubby at his new office. He has just about got everything he needs to be settled in. He got a new desk, chair, phone, fax, etc. yesterday and he's really starting to enjoy his new office.

From there, we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things we needed. The boys got a new badminton set and when we got home and got it put up, I didn't see them again! They love it.

Last night my friend Robin and went to dinner at Chili's. It was nice to get out of the house. We had hoped that all of the girls would be able to join us, but we just couldn't get it all together. So after we ate, we made our rounds and stopped by to visit all of them! LOL It was midnight by the time I got home, but I had a great time.

My B.O.B. has sent me some really adorable gifts this week and I wanted to share them with you all. Aren't they great?

Thanks so much Tammy! You're the best. I will get all these posted on my B.O.B. page today.

Y'al have a wonderful Thursday...I've got some cleaning to do. Ugh!

Just another Manic Monday!!

Howdy friends! What a beautiful day we had in the great state of Arkansas today! It was 90 degrees and sunny all day long. I love summer time! :)

I had a great day at work today...really enjoyed working a normal, daytime shift! It was nice. I have to go to a class tomorrow so that I will be a "certified" police dispatcher. It's the first of two classes. Tomorrow is a short, 4-hour class (and I'm getting paid for a full day). In a few weeks, I will have to take a 4-day class in Little Rock. Hmmmmm...two hours away from home. No kids. No man. In my Mom's hometown (well, close to it anyway)...I smell some serious shopping!!!!!! LOL Mom and I always have a great time when we go shopping. I am really looking forward to it!

I went to the orthodontist last week and I got some great news! I will be getting spacers put on on July 10th and then the braces will be going on on July 17th. I know it may sound weird, but I am very excited! I cannot wait. I will be sure to post a picture for all of you when I get them on!

We just had dinner and I have finished cleaning up the kitcken, so I think I will relax for a while and then run to town to tan. Tanning is a good way to get some quiet time...hee hee! :) I am off to visit all my blog buddies...y'all have a super evening! Hugs...

Happy Sunday!!!

What a busy few days we've had! Tanner had his last game and his post season party Thursday night. Austin has had a tournament all weekend with his traveling team and I've worked all weekend. But...no complaints here! We love it!

The boys , my niece, and I had a great time at the movies the other day. They really enjoyed Daddy Day Care. It was really funny. Cute movie!

Well, I hate to cut it short, but I need to get ready for work...gotta be there at 4:00. I will try to get online while I am at work and visit you all. I hope you've had a great weekend. Hugs!!

Happy Hump Day!!!

Good morning! I've got a busy day planned today. The boys and I are going to go see "Daddy Day Care". I've heard it's a really good movie and the boys are looking forward to it. I think I may swing by and take my niece too. She'll really like that!

Chad and I finished putting our new swing together last night. I can't wait to use it. It's a really nice two-seater with a console in the middle and a canopy on top. It'll be nice to sit in it and watch the boys play.

Tomorrow morning, I have an appointment with an orthodontist. I am really excited about getting braces. My mom tried to get me to get them when I was a teenager and I refused! Now, I wish I had! :) I am glad to be getting my teeth fixed. I mean...they aren't that bad, but they do need some work. So once I get them on, I will have to post a picture for all of you...........if you promise not to laugh at me!

I want to thank you all for the advice you gave me about my friend. I have decided that I am going to talk to him about the situation. We are friends and I should be able to talk to him about it without jeopardizing our friendship. If it's not true, then he should be glad to know what people are saying about him.

I'm off to get ready for the movies. Y'all have a great day! Hugs!!

Good evening friends!

I hope you have all had a good Tuesday and that your week is going well thus far. I am officially finished with night shift, and boy am I excited! I will now be working part days and part evenings, which will be nice.

Austin is officially finished with his League baseball and USSSA will be in full swing now. Tanner's last T-ball game is Thursday night. He is really sad to see the season end. He has really enjoyed his first year of ball. He's just so darn cute out there! Here's a picture for you...

And here is one of Austin...

I got some more pictures of my graduation today (that a good friend of mine took for me). I thought you all might like to see one of those as well. What do you think?

I've got an issue that has come to light in my life and I am not sure how to deal with it. Maybe some of you can offer some good advice for me. As most of you may know, I work at the police department where my husband used to be an officer full time (he is now only part time). Naturally, I am friends with everyone that works there because I have known them for so long. One of the officers in particular is a very good friend of mine and Chad's. It has been brought to my attention that he might possibly be abusive to his wife of only 3 months. My question is this...since we are such good friends, would I be over-stepping my boundaries if I confronted him? First and foremost, I don't want him to be abusing her. Secondly, since he's an officer of the law, he could lose his job if she should press charges on him. So...should I talk to him about it? I would really like to see him get some counselling if, in fact, it is really going on. He is a good guy and an exceptional officer of the law. Anyway...that's the newest delimma in my life.

I will leave you with my Tuesday This-or-That...
1. Newspapers or magazines?
Magazines

2. Books-on-tape or regular books?
Regular books

3. Paperback or hardcover?
Hardcover

4. Fiction or non-fiction?
Non-fiction

5. Sci-Fi/Fantasy or romance novels?
Romance novels

6. Borrow from library or buy books (either new or used)?
Buy books

7. Subscribe to magazines or buy on newsstand?
Both

8. Current best-sellers or classic literature?
Both

9. Read books once, or re-read favorites every so often?
Re-read favorites...sometimes

10. Here in the U.S., we have two hot best-sellers...former First Lady Hillary Clinton's memoirs, and the new Harry Potter book (coming out June 21). If you had to read one, which one...Hillary or Harry? Why?
I would read Hillary. I'm not big into the Harry Potter kind of stuff. I really would rather read non-fiction.

Have a great day tomorrow! Hugs!!

Happy Monday!

I hope you are all doing well today and that your week is off to a fabulous start. I just got in from work, so I'm off to bed. Have fun visiting and be sure to join the mailing list. I am always adding new stuff. You can get an update on me by reading yesterday's blog entry. I will be back tonight to blog more for ya! Have a radiant day! HuGs!!!

Hello Friends! Happy Sunday to you!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend...even though it's about over. We are having a beautiful day here. The sun is shining and it is about 80 degrees outside. Chad and I slept until about 10:30, which was nice. We rarely get to sleep in these days! And we actually we out without the kids last night! We went to a party at a friend's house and we really had a great time. Can you imagine a bunch of grown women jumping on the trampoline?!? LOL We did and it was fun! :)

Before the party, we went to the Cancer walk-a-thon. Chad's mom died of breast cancer back in January of 1996 and we have a memorial team that walks and raises money in her name each year. This year was miserable. It turned off cool, the wind was blowing, and it rained the entire time we were there. Ugh! But, it was for a good cause.

This next week will be our last week of League baseball. Thank goodness! The boys are about to run me ragged. After this week, Austin will only be playing on one team and Tanner will be finished with his T-ball season. Austin's travelling team will start playing in more tournaments now that league is over. He is playing in the State Tournament next weekend and we are really looking forward to it.

I have to work nights tonight and tomorrow night and then I am finished!!! Woo hoo! The guy that I have been covering for is officially on the schedule. It'll be nice to be back into a regular routine.

Well, I should get off here. My kids will be home from Church soon and then we are going to go to town and get Father's Day gifts. I think we are going to have Chad's dad and grandpa over for dinner tonight. I must remember to call my dad today too! Boy would I be in trouble if I forgot! So, I'm off to town. Y'all have a great day now, you hear! :)

Wednesday, June 11, 2003

Good afternoon!

Man, oh man is it hot outside! I think summer has finally arrived...and I love it! The kids are outside playing in their little blow-up pool and enjoying the sunshine. It is so nice to be rid of the gray skies. We had some pretty bad storms last night, but today has turned out beautifully.

I had to work last night, so I haven't been up long. It turns out that I am going to have to work nights for another week. Then, it is definite...I will no longer be on nights! The guy that I have been covering for is officially on the schedule as of next week. :)

My mom and dad were in town yesterday and the day before. It was good to see them. It seems that I hardly ever see them these days. Mom is flying all the time and with our busy schedules, it makes it difficult to see them. We had a good time visiting with them. We went to Red Lobster for dinner Monday night and it was delicious! I had almost 2 pounds of crab legs! Yum yum!!!

Well, I need to get outside and watch the kids. I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Big hugs to you!! :)

Saturday, June 07, 2003

Hello friends!

What a beautiful day this has turned out to be!! I got home from work this morning, went to bed, and got up to an absolutely beautiful day. It has been rainy and cloudy for the last few days and now the sun is shining and it is a comfortable 75 degrees outside. We actually had to take coats and blankets to Austin and Tanner's games the other night because it was so cool. I can't believe that it is June and still so cool. It's really odd for Arkansas weather!

I have to work tonight and then again on Tuesday night, and then I should be finished with the night shift! Woo hoo!!! I am looking forward to working some days and evenings.

I have been trying to talk my hubby into going car shopping, and I think I have finally succeeded! I love my Monte Carlo, but I have had it for almost four years and it is time for a new car! I think I want a Tahoe. As much as we are at the ball park and hauling other kids around, I could sure use the room. I think the Tahoes are pretty and they are so much bigger than my little car!

I finally got my flower beds cleaned up and weeded. Now I just need to find something to plant in them. They look so plain with just the bushes in them. Is it too late to plant flowers? What in the world could I plant this late in the season?!? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I wanted to share a gift with you that my friend Claudia sent to me...she's just so sweet. Thanks Claudia!!!

Well, I am going to get off here. I need to visit my reads and spend some time with the family before I head off to work tonight. I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. Hugs!!

Friday, June 06, 2003

Good afternoon!!

I don't have much time to blog today...we've got games tonight. So...I thought I would post my Friday Five. Have a super weekend!

1. How many times have you truly been in love?
I think I can say that I have been truly in love three times in my life.

2. What was/is so great about the person you love(d) the most?
The person that I am in love with now is handsome, funny, intelligent, and he's my best friend.

3. What qualities should a significant other have?
A significant other should be trustworthy and honest. I think he should also love you for who you are not expect you to change for him.

4. Have you ever broken someone's heart?
I think so. I think when I broke up with my high school sweetheart his heart was broken. We are still very good friends today, though!

5. If there was one thing you could teach people about love, what would it be?
I think I would teach them that love is work. It takes effort to make love work. Love comes with the good and the bad.

Wednesday, June 04, 2003

Hello again my friends!

Well! It's been almost a week since my last post...these night shifts are really starting to cut into my fun stuff! Anyway...I've had quite the eventful couple of weeks, I just haven't had the time to tell you all about it!

First off, I won my unemployment hearing against USA Truck. In my opinion, they had no business fighting it anyway. Turns out, they fired me because of a post that I made here on my blog when I talked about them firing my sister...can you believe that?!? What a bunch of spineless losers!!!! If they have nothing else better to do than to worry about what I write in my journal, then obviously they don't have enough work to keep those "managers" of the company busy!!! At any rate, I am just sure that me not working there any more is a blessing. They are all a bunch of jerks anyway.

Secondly, ball season has kept us very, very busy. Austin is playing on two teams and Tanner has started T-ball (I think I've told y'all that). We are at the ball fields at least 4 nights per week. But it sure is fun and the boys are having a blast. :)

Chad started his new job Monday. He is out of town right now. He's out in Oklahoma City training for his new position. I think I told y'all a little bit about it. He is going to be doing what he was doing before (working on gas wells), but now he is the Branch Manager for the office here in our hometown. It was a $23,000 per year pay increase for him, so we are very excited about that! I knew that eventually things would work out for us...I now truly believe that good things come to those who wait!!

I am enjoying the summer off school. I am planning to change my major from Business to Nursing. The only reason I was going to business school to begin with was because of my last job and the fact that they were helping pay for it. So, now I can do what I want to do!! I am really looking forward to starting nursing school in the fall.

I guess I better get off here and get the boys ready for bed. I have to work tonight, but this should be my last week to have to work these night shifts. I have my niece here too, and I am taking all the kids to my sister's on my way to work tonight...I guess we'll just be trading out kids until my husband gets back into town! Have a great day tomorrow! Hugs!!!

Hi y'all!!!

I'm doing some updating and some cleaning...I'll be back later tonight to post...have a great day! :)

Thursday, May 29, 2003

Good evening friends!

I hope you are all doing well. I will sure be glad when I get back on a regular schedule so that I can blog more. I miss all you gals!! I am still on nights for about another week and a half or so. The weather is great here...almost 90 degrees today! I love summer time! I am so tired of being cold and wet and I am looking forward to the warm weather!

We've had a busy week here with T-ball and baseball. The boys are sure loving it! Tanner's T-ball team has really turned out to be a great little team and he just looks so tiny out there on the field. I can't believe that he will be starting kindergarten this fall. He is really excited, but I have a feeling that I will probably cry...I did when Austin started!

Austin is doing great in ball too. His last day of school is tomorrow and he is really looking forward to it. I went to his award ceremony this morning after I got off work and he won two awards. One was the Writer's Excellence award and the other one was for Citizenship/Good Behavior all year. He missed getting an award for all A's and B's because he had one C early in the year...but, I am still very proud of him!

Well, I just got out of bed, so I better get off here and get some stuff done before I head off to work tonight. I hope you are all doing great. Have a fabulous weekend!! :)

My hubby was offered a new job...and guess what...?!?!? It's a significant raise him!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!!!! We are so excited and feel so blessed. Someone is truly looking out for us. He is gone to Oklahoma City today to finalize the details and should be starting his new job next week. (just thought I'd share the good news with all my best, online, bloggin' buds!!!) Have a radiant day! :::hugs:::

Here's my Friday Five...

Hello Friends!

My apologies for not blogging much lately. I hope I still have blog buds out there! This night shift is really starting to slow me down. I just don't know if my body is cut out for it. I sleep all day, go to the boys' games in the evening, come home and take a nap, and then head off to work at midnight. I feel as though I am sleeping all the time!! I really like the job, and I really don't mind working nights, but it's hard on my body you know?!?

I promise as soon as I get back to a regular schedule, I will get back to blogging like I used to. I sure do miss all of you! Well, it's about time for me to go to work, so I better close for now. Y'all have a great week! Here are a couple of pictures from my graduation...enjoy!

Thank you!

You are all so sweet! I want to thank all of you for the wonderful tags left on my board and for the sweet gifts I got in my mailbox. It is so nice to have such wonderful friends that I've never even "met". Having so many online friends is absolutely wonderful. You are all so nice and kind to me.

Graduation went great!! I had such a wonderful time and my emotions were running high. I felt such a sense of accomplishment while I was sitting there listening to the Chancellor give his long-winded speech! There were 800 of us graduating, so it took quite a while to get us all up on stage and back to our seats. When I walked up on the stage to get my degree and shake everyone's hands, I couldn't help but smile and I wanted to cry I was so excited! I had quite the cheering section there too! It makes a girl proud to look out into the crowd and see so many people there supporting her! I owe my education to them all. They have supported me for the last 2 1/2 years on my journey to become an educated woman. They have all helped me study, kept the kids, listened to me complain, and lent a shoulder for me to cry on. What a blessed woman I am!

I am at my mom's now, and I am enjoying visiting with Granny, Mom, Dad, and my sister. It's been a good Mother's Day and I hope that you all had a wonderful one as well. Thank you for all the Mother's Day wishes. Again, you are all great! I am going to get back to visiting. Have a wonderful week!!!

Thursday, May 08, 2003

Woo Hoo!!

I took my last final exam today and I am finished with school until August! I am so excited!! I will be graduating Saturday with my Associates and then I will take the summer off before I start working on my Bachelor's degree. This is going to be a much needed break for me! I've got a lot of family coming in for my graduation, so I am looking forward to seeing them!

I worked all night last night, and I have to go back in tonight at midnight. So...I am going to make this short and spend some time with hubby and get a nap. I hope you all had a great Thursday!

9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna?
Cable

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why?
I think I would choose electronic. I enjoy my time on the Internet, so I don't think I would want to do without it!

Good Sunday Evening!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I just worked my first two night shifts and I really enjoyed them! It's a nice change. It's rather quiet there at night, so I have had time to do some studying for my final exams. I am finished with classes for this semester and will be taking finals this week. I will be glad to get them out of the way! My graduation is this Saturday! WOO HOO!!! I can't wait!

Well, I better get off here...got some studying to do. I will try to write more later tonight. Have a great week!

Good afternoon everyone!

Everything is going great here! I am loving my new job, which is great! I will be working my very first midnight shift tonight...I have never worked a midnight shift in my life! I am actually looking forward to the change. It's nice to do something different every once in a while! I will only have to work midnights for a few weeks because one of the guys that I work with is going to be off with surgery.

The boys are both starting their Little League baseball tomorrow. Opening ceremonies begin at 9:00 a.m., Tanner plays at 11:30, and Austin plays at 2:15. They are both looking forward to it. I will be very tired tomorrow!

My car goes into the shop Monday morning to be fixed from the wreck I had a couple of weeks ago. I think once we get it fixed, we are going to get rid of it. We have had it for a while and I am ready for something new. I was thinking of getting an SUV of some sort...maybe a Chevy Trailblazer or a Tahoe. Something bigger would be nice, although I do like my Monte Carlo!

Well, I need to go visit all my blog buds, so I'm going to close for now. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

S/he moves into your place, but brings with them the UGLIEST chair you have ever seen! You really don't want this thing in your home, but SO says it is the most comfy chair s/he has ever sat in, and no way will they part with it. Do you: grin and bear it, or scheme to get rid of the montrosity somehow?
Definitely grin and bear it!

UGH!!

I am not having much luck with this domain thing. None of my sub-domains are working and I am getting really frustrated. I am sorry that you all have not been able to visit lately. I have had a lot going on and need to update you all! :)

I started that new job and it turned out to be awful...absolutely terrible. The lady that was my boss was mean and was seriously into micro-management. I refuse to go to a job that I hate every day of my life, so I quit! I am now working at the police department in Alma as a dispatcher and I love it! It's the department that my husband used to work for as an officer, so I pretty much know everyone and it is absolutely great! I love it! I know a little bit about dispatching because I used to do it a every now and then when I was workign on the ambulance. It's fun! :)

I am recovering well from the accident and I should be getting my car fixed soon. I will be ready to get that out of the way. The insurance company is working with us and they have really surprised us with how willing they are to accomodate us. It's nice to know...

Both of the boys are playing ball now. Austin is on two different teams and Tanner has started his first season of T-ball. He is so excited he can hardly stand it. We are going to have one busy summer!! But I will love every minute of it. :)

Graduation!! Woo hoo! It's coming up in two weeks. I will be walking in graduation on May 10th and I can hardly stand myself. I have worked so hard for this and I am looking forward to walking across that stage! :) :) :)

Well, it's getting late, so I better get off here. We have been at the ball fields all day and I am tired. Both of the boys are gone tonight, so maybe Chad and I will be able to sleep in tomorrow morning...that'll be a change! Anyway...I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good Saturday morning!

I'm sorry for not blogging this week. It's been a busy week for us and then on Thursday morning, I had a car accident. I was on my way to work Thursday morning, and was stopped waiting for a school bus. The next thing I knew I was being slammed from behind. The lady behind me (who happens to be a friend of mine) was rear-ended by another woman. The one who caused the accident has a totaled vehicle, and Peggy's Durango (the one who hit me) has quite a bit of damage. My car has minimal damage...can't tell I've even had an accident. There is only about $1,500 worth of damage to my car (the trunk lid is warped), but I feel as though I've been beat up. I have extreme pain in my neck and back. I went to the doctor after the accident and she told me to stay home from work until Monday because of the whiplash and the fact that I work on a computer all day. I'm okay, just tired from the muscle relaxers I'm taking. At any rate, I am okay. I hated to miss work after only working there for a week, but I didn't want to complicate matters.

We are leaving to go to Conway today to spend Easter with my family. My boys are already there...they have been there since Thursday and they are having a great time! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.

I promise to blog more often...like I used to! Lotsa hugs...

7. Keeping track of your money: are you more meticulous or careless about it?
Extrememly meticulous

8. What do you do if you find yourself with a lot of change weighing down your purse/pocket/wallet? Do you try to spend it to *get rid of it*, or do you put it in a jar or a piggy bank?
I put it in the ash tray of my car or in my desk at work for drinks

9. Which form of fake money do you like better...Monopoly money or those chocolate coins covered with gold foil?
Chocolate coins covered with foil!

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You find a wallet containing $5,000 in cash, as well as several credit cards and the owner's drivers' license. Your rent is due tomorrow and you're short $200. Do you take the money (some or all of it) and mail back the wallet anonymously...or do you return the wallet with all contents intact?
I would definitely return the wallet with all of its contents.

Have a great day!

Hello all!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. The new job is really keeping me busy and I don't have much Internet time (other than for work purposes) at work. Baseball season is in full swing too, so that is taking up a lot of our time as well. I hope that you are all doing great, and I promise as soon as things settle down I will get back to blogging regularly.

Have a great week and take care! :o)

Woo hoo!!!!

I am no longer unemployed! How about that?!? I am so excited I can hardly stand myself! LOL :o)

Starting Thursday morning, I will be working at Lois Law. I interviewed at 10:00 and didn't finish until almost 12:00. They called me 2:00 and offered me the job. I am so very excited! I am starting out making what I was at USA Truck, my benefits will go into effect immediately (no waiting period or probation), they offer 100% tuition reimbursement for school, vacation and sick time starts accruing immediately, and we get 12 paid holidays per year (+ 2 floating holidays)!!! I am convinced that this job was meant for me! My title is actually going to be "Source Acquisition Specialist" and I will be working closely with the attorney's that work there. I will be responsible for acquiring new laws and such for the books that they publish on the Internet.

I want to thank all of you for the good luck wishes and prayers. I truly appreciate it. I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. :o)

8. The trashier talk show host...Maury Povich or Jerry Springer?

9. The worse fast food burger joint...McDonald's or Burger King?
McDonald's

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: Only a handful of U.S. Presidents have been considered to be *great* Of the following two, which one do you consider to be greater...Franklin D. Roosevelt or Abraham Lincoln? Why?
I would have to say Abraham Lincoln because he is one of our founding fore fathers.

Boy, it's late!!!

But, I just had to share the news...I have a job interview in the morning at 10:00!!! Woooooo Hoooooo!!! I wanted to let you all know in case I didn't have time to post about it in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me and wish me luck! I'm really excited! Have a great Tuesday morning. I will be back in the afternoon to tell you how it went!

Good Monday morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We are all very exhausted from tournament Austin had over the weekend. In fact, I think Austin is so tired it has made him sick. He is at home with me. He and his dad left for work/school earlier and came back. Austin said he felt as though he was going to throw up, so Chad brought him home. He is now in bed sleeping. Bless his heart. He's probably just worn out.

Well, it turns out my sister didn't get the job she was wanting. :o( So, I guess she will start looking again today. I am sure she will find something soon. There were a lot of jobs in the paper yesterday, so she is going to start mailing out some resumes!

I've got to fix me some coffee so I better get off here. I hope you all have a great day today! :o)

Friday, April 04, 2003

Good morning!

I hope you are all doing well. Sorry about not posting yesterday...I spent the day with my sister and it was nice. She will find out today at 6:00 if she's got the job that she interviewed for. Keep your fingers crossed!! I am still hanging in there. I am enjoying the time home with the boys, but I really need to go back to work. I expect that some of the people I have contacted will start calling to schedule interiviews soon.

Austin has a baseball tournament this weekend, so we are certainly looking forward to that. (I just hope we don't have to sit in the rain the whole weekend...it's supposed to rain.) I have to take my C.A.A.P. exam tomorrow, so wish me luck. It's a huge exam and I have to take it because I am a junior in college now. Some of you may have heard of it...it's also called the "Rising Junior" exam. It's a test to analyze what students are actually learning in college. It will probably cover everything that I have already taken in school. Should be fun...NOT! LOL :o)

Here's my Friday Five:

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
There are too many to count! I can't imagine counting all the houses/apartments I have lived in throughout my life. We always moved a lot. I would have to say at least 30.

2. Which was your favorite and why?
My first favorite would be the one I am living in now because my husband and I built it (not literally, but we picked everything out). We put a lot of time into picking things out and arranging the perfect floor plan. It's a beautiful home and I am very proud to own it. My second favorite would have to be my great grandmother's house. I lived there off and on as a child and I loved it! It's old and cluttered, but it's the best. She has a bay window that I used to sleep in when I was little. It was the best place to sleep in the house in the summer time because it was cooler. The house had no air conditioning, so the bay window was perfect!

3. Do you find moving houses more exciting or stressful? Why?
I don't really think it is stressful, it's just hard work. Moving is exciting! I loved moving into this house because I knew I would be here for a long time and wouldn't have to move for many, many, many years! :o) LOL

4. What's more important, location or price?
Location, location, location! Definitely! I live in the middle of 70 acres and it is absolutely beautiful.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
I have a big yard, I have a jacuzzi tub, will have a pool when I graduate with my Bachelor's (a gift to myself!)....I guess you could say that I am living in my dream house!

Have a super weekend!

Well hello there!

I guess today was a fairly uneventful day for me. Tanner and I went to have lunch with my good friend Robin. Today was her birthday, so it was nice to get to visit with her for a while. I hadn't seen her in weeks! Then we went to get the tags renewed on my husband's old Chevy pick-up. We walked in and there was not an empty seat in the place. I hate going to the DFA, much less having to sit and wait on 50 people...it always seems to take forever in that place, even with just a few people in there! UGH!! Then I went by to tan and headed to pick Austin up from school. I came home and studied for a bit and headed off to take my Biological Science test. Yuck! It went okay I guess...thanks to everyone for their good luck wishes. I need all the help I can get!! :o) I also wanted to thank all of you for your prayers for my sister. She is really having a hard time right now. I just wish there was more I could do for her.

I think I am starting to get bored. Sure, being unemployed has many perks but I am ready to go back to work!!! I certainly admire all you SAHM's out there!! I guess if I had done this from the beginning, it would be easier for me. My career-mindedness has got me itching to go back to work. Does that make me a bad mother? Gosh, I sure hope not. :o) I have always worked. I guess I have worked since I was about 15 years old. I can remember my Mom having to take me to work because I was not old enough to drive. That's a long time to be working! LOL

Anyway...enough rambling for tonight. Have a great day tomorrow and I'll see you all tomorrow night! :o)

Monday, March 31, 2003

Hi!!

I hope you have all had a wonderful day today...I know I did! I slept in until about 8:30 (which was nice) and Tanner didn't get up until after 9:30. He never does that! I didn't even hear Chad and Austin leave this morning...I must have been tired!

I got up and watched a little news. It makes me so sad to hear of people protesting the President and the war. We are already at war!!! Give it up people! Now is the time to support the troops and their families...don't you all agree? I guess I just don't understand why people are protesting. I just bet if they had family members over there, they wouldn't be protesting!

After I watched the news I got around and headed to town. Tanner decided he didn't want to go, so he stayed with his MeeMee and Pappy. I went and had lunch with my hubby at Red Lobster (and boy was it good!!!). Then I had to go get my cell phone fixed. For some reason all of my calls were ringing to my best friend's phone (she is on my plan). Come to find out, my phone was forwarded to hers...now howt hat happened, I'll never know! I don't even know how to forward it! LOL They said it was probably because they did a lot of work on the system this weekend. Who knows!

Then I went to Wal-Mart and bought a few groceries for my sister. Since she's been out of a job, she has absolutely no money. Bless her heart. I just hate to see her going through such a hard time. I will help her all that I can, but since I am not working either, it won't be too much.

I went by to pick Austin up from school and then stopped by my friend's house to tan. It's time to get rid of these white legs...they are so white!! LOL We came home and Chad and Austin left for ball practice. Now it's just Tanner and me here. I guess we'll eat something easy for dinner. I don't see any sense in cooking for just him and me. Sandwiches sound good! I think that's what we'll do! Anyway, I guess I've rambled on long enough. I gotta get this little one fed. I hope you all have a radiant evening! :o)

Sunday, March 30, 2003

Good Sunday Morning!!

I hope you are all doing well. I apologize for taking so long to post. I have been really busy for the past few days. I don't think it has ever been this long between posts for me.

Wednesday was my youngest son's 5th birthday, so I spent the entire day with him. We went to the "Big Burger King" (as he calls it) and he played with my niece, then we went and got some stuff for his birthday party, and headed home. Some of Chad's family came over that evening and Tanner had a blast opening presents!

Thursday and Friday I spent job hunting. I have put out almost 20 resumes in the last two weeks...surely something good will come out of it! LOL :o)

Austin has been gone literally all week. He has been on spring break and has spent the night with someone every night. I finally made him come home Friday night and clean his room...

Saturday we had Tanner's birthday party. We rented one of those bounce-around things that the kids can get in and jump in. It always seems to be a big hit with the kids. They love getting in it and jumping. We practically have to drag them out of it to eat cake!

Today, we are just resting. I have some studying to do for a test Tuesday night so I will probably spend a lot of time doing that this week. Anyway...I'm off to visit all my blogging buddies. I hope you all have a radiant day! :o)

Tuesday, March 25, 2003

Here's my This or That for today...I'll be back to blog later! I finally got to visit all my reads last night and it was fun! Have a great day!!

1. Poetry or prose?
Poetry

2. Funky modern art or the older, "classic" variety?
Classic Art

3. Sculptures or paintings?
Paintings

4. Theatre: exuberant musical or serious drama?
I love both, but if I have to pick one I'll say exuberant musical!

5. Ballet or modern dance?
Ballet! I love it

6. Movies: major studio or indie?
Major studio

7. Authors: Shakespeare or Dr. Seuss?
Definitely Shakespeare!

8. TV: PBS or A&E?
A & E...gotta love it! :o)

9. Music: Beethoven or Beatles?
I love Beethoven...such soothing music

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: You are a contributing member of your favorite art museum, and visit on a regular basis. They announce a new, temporary special exhibit by an artist surrounded by controversy...this person's work and/or political views offend you. Do you stop supporting the museum, or just stay away during the time the exhibit is there?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion of what is art and what is not. I would certainly continue to support the museum and visit as regularly as I always had. It doesn't meant that I have to view nor do I have to like the new section of art.

Monday, March 24, 2003

Hi again!

I am sitting here enjoying some quiet time after getting everyone settled in for the night. I did some serious job hunting today and got a lot accomplished. I enjoyed being out in the beautiful weather and driving around. It was nice. We have had some beautiful weather here for the past few days...looks like it might storm tomorrow. The boys will be disappointed. I need to get some work done on my site. I will try to get that done tomorrow if we are going to be inside because of rain.

The Biology test went okay. It was a very difficult test and I spent a lot of time studying for it...only to make a C. But, I guess it will have to do...I guess it won't hurt my GPA too much in that class! :o) I did get to pick up my cap and gown for graduation the other day! It's so neat...I can't wait to wear it. May 10th is the big day!! Woo Hoo! I am so looking forward to walking in the ceremony. Y'all may get tired of hearing about it between now and then! LOL

I just wanted to drop in and jot down some thoughts real quick. I hope you are all okay and enjoying the Spring weather (hopefully allergies are getting to you too badly).

Good Monday Morning!

You know, it amazes me that women stay home with their children on a daily basis. I commend those of you that do! It is definitely a full time job! I have had less time to get things done since I have been staying at home than I did when I was working full time. LOL

Anyway, I have several things to get done today. I have a lot of applications and resumes to turn in and I am really looking forward to it! The City of Mulberry (which is where I live) is looking for a secretary, the police department is looking for a dispatcher, and the University is looking for a secretary in the Math/Science department. I think those are some pretty good opportunities!

The weather here has been absolutely beautiful! The temperature was up to 80 degrees yesterday. The boys were outside in it all day. Looks like today is going to be another beautiful day...the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and everything is starting to turn green around here! I hope you all have a radiant day! :o)

Friday, March 21, 2003

Hi y'all!

Just a quick entry today. I am about to leave to go take my Biology test...it's going to be a doozy! I've also got a few job perspectives and I am going by those places today to fill out applications and drop off my resume. One of the jobs that I would really like to have is the Administrative Assistant job at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville...about 25 minutes from here. It seems as though it would be a good job and I have spoken with the Dean of the Math/Science department. He wants me to bring my resume by so I am going to do that as well. I also called about a dispatching job at the police department yesterday. I would probably have to work the midnight shift (which I have never done before), but if that is the sacrifice I have to make, then so be it.

I got all the paperwork filed for my unemployment, so maybe that will kick in soon. If it does, which I am sure it will, I won't be in a real big hurry to find a job but in the meantime I need to at least be looking.

I gotta get...going to take that test! Have a radiant day! :o)

Wednesday, March 19, 2003

Good morning!

I want to start by thanking all of you for all the encouraging words on my tag board and in my mail box. I have the best online friends there are!! Things are going well here. I am enjoying taking Austin to school and spending the day with Tanner. I'm afraid that when I do find a job, Tanner isn't going to want me to go back to work! :o)

As some of you may know, my Mom is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines...I am thinking of doing that. I realize that I don't need all this college education that I've worked so hard for, but the money is really good and I love to fly. I talked to the boys about it yesterday and they seem to be okay with it. My hubby just tells me to do what I want to do! There are also so many other options for me since I am on the verge of having my Associates Degree this summer. At any rate, I am exploring my options before making any final decisions.

The weather here last night was something else...I have not seen it rain as hard as it did in a very long time. My poor husband had to work out in it, bless his heart. But the sun is shining the morning and it is going to be a beautiful day today!! Tanner and I are going to get groceries and then I have some house cleaning to do! My husband has sworn off house work now that I am not working! LOL I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

Tuesday, March 18, 2003

Good morning...

The news came yesterday, but I totally expected it. The company that I work for fired me. I really believe it is because they got word that Amber and Casey were going to sue them. I really have no interest in suing USA Truck, so I will just move on with my life. I will chalk this up as an experience in life and find something else! I think this will be a good opportunity to finish up working on my Associate's degree without all the stresses of work bearing down on me. I will also be able to spend some quality time with my boys, take them to school, pick them up, etc. I can't wait for that! I will be heading to the unemployment office this morning and I am just going to live it up while I can! I'll be danged if I am going to let those people get to me! I am a hard worker, a good worker, and I know what I am doing so I don't think it will be hard for me to find another job. Thanks for listening!

Here's my Tuesday This or That
1. Cold frosty ski slopes or warm sandy beach?
Definitely warm, sandy beach!

2. Chevy or Ford?
Chevy! I'm a huge Monte Carlo fan...even drive one!

3. Mac or PC?
PC...don't know anything about a Mac

4. Dial-up or high speed internet access?
Dial Up :o(

5. Small *family-only* wedding or large 200+ guest wedding?
Had 200+ guests at my wedding...loved it!

6. Would you rather be the bridesmaid or the bride? (if you are a guy, substitute best man or groom)
I don't want to be a bride again, so I guess I will choose bridesmaid...as long as the dress isn't hidious!

7. AC/DC or ABBA?
AC/DC

8. Roses or daisies?
Roses!

9. Trashy romance novels or classic literature?
Classic Literature

10. NEW! Thought-provoking question of the week...If you had to choose one...would you rather be blind or deaf? Why?
That's a hard question...I'll have to think about that one. Deafness would not allow me to hear my children laugh and blindness would not allow me to see my children. I don't know that I could pick one....

T.G.I.F.

Well, it's Friday and I am so glad! It's been a rough week here at the office. I haven't vented about it on here yet, for fear of saying/writing words that you all might not want to read! My sister was fired from here Monday...in a terrible manner and it has been hectic for me. She is a single mother and relies heavily on this job. The reason they fired her was strictly based on hearsay and frankly, it was wrong. My mom and my sister are hiring an attorney and plan to sue the company for wrongful termination. I spoke with my boss about it the other day and asked him if it would affect my job here. He assures me that if the law suit goes through that my job will not be in jeopardy...which it shouldn't because it's not me suing!

I don't know if I've ever expressed this here or not, but my sister and I are very, very close. Growing up, I had to take care of her because our Mom was a truck driver back then. I taught her how to tie her shoes, how to write her name, how to do everything! The bond that she and I share is simply amazing. When someone hurts her, I get extremely offensive. I guess it's because I have spent my life taking care of her and watching out for her. She is truly my best friend. I love the saying "Sisters by chance, Friends by choice" because it fits us to a T. I am completely devastated that this has happened to her and I will do everything in my power to make them pay for what they have done.

Anyway...that's what has been going on here. A little more stress added to my stress bank, but baseball starts tomorrow so I am going to be making a withdrawal from that bank! I am SO looking forward to watching my son throw his very first pitch as starting pitcher tomorrow! Woo hoo! :o)

Here's my Friday Five:

1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not?
There was a time in my life that I did enjoy talking on the phone, but because I spend so much time on the phone at work, I would just rather not! :o)

2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?
Eric Robertson...a good friend of mine from here at work.

3. About how many telephones do you have at home?
Three. The cordless, one in the kitchen, and one in my bedroom. I am sure that will change when the boys get older!

4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened?
Oh, it would have to be a telemarketer that I spoke with last month. As soon as I answered the phone and realized that it was a telemarketer, I politely told him that I was not interested. He proceeded to argue with me and ask me why I was not interested in "protecting my family". (he was selling insurance) Well geez!

5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not?
I would much rather send an e-mail! I guess because of the fact that I spend so much time on the phone at work.

Have a radiant day!

Happy Thursday!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all starting you day off right! I am at work, and thought I'd take a break to do my posting. I have a little story I'd like to share with you. Here goes...

About 2:00 this morning, my husband called to let me know a storm was coming and that it was going to be rather rough. He was stuck on the side of the interstated because it was hailing so bad he couldn't see. He told me to get up and go unplug the phone line to the computer. So, I got up and unplugged it, looked in on the boys, made sure all the doors were locked (again), and headed back to bed. I was lying there listening to the storm brew when I heard little feet scurrying across the carpet. Low and behold, here comes my 9 year old! He told me he was scared, so I told him to climb into bed with me since Daddy was at work. He got into bed and then asked me not to tell Tanner. I asked him why and he said "because Tanner is 4 and I am 9. If he finds out that this storm scared me, he will laugh at me". (how funny is that?!?) I said okay and we went to sleep.

Well this morning, we went by day care to drop Tanner off and as we were walking in, Tanner asked me why Bubba was in my bed this morning. I told him he just wanted to sleep with me. He said "I bet the storm scared him...that big chicken!!"

I just about died laughing. It was just so cute to see a 4 year old say something like that. He just laughed and giggled and carried on. He can't wait until tonight to make fun of his big brother for letting a storm scare him! KIDS!!! :o) I just love to hear my boys laugh out loud like that...it is truly a happy sound! Here's a picture for you:

Hi friends!

What do you think of my new graphics? Isn't Tara just the best?!? I love everything she has ever made for me...and buying graphics is just so darn addicting! :o)

Well, it's a new day and I am feeling great! For the last two nights I have fallen asleep very early on the couch and I feel so much better. I haven't gotten any studying done, but I do feel so much better! :o) However, tonight it's back to the grindstone. I am starting to get behind in my studies and I can't let that happen right now...mid-terms are next week and I have got to get caught back up. Mid-terms are really starting to stress me out. I will be so glad when they're over! I want to thank each of you for wishing me luck on my exam from last night...I made 100% on it! Woo hoo! I so needed that after the C I got last week. I hate C's...being the perfectionist that I am, A's are just about the only thing that's acceptable. I know, it sounds anal, but I love making A's. It gives me a since of accomplishment!

I think the weather is going to get a little rough tonight. When I left this morning it was unusually warm out and they are calling for storms tonight. I guess there won't be much Internet time for me tonight should it get bad...I've had one too many computers hit by lightening!

Austin's first baseball tournament of the season is this weekend and we are really looking forward to it! The weather is supposed to be beautiful. And guess what?!?! MY SON is going to be the starting pitcher!!! WOO HOO! How cool is that?!? I am so very proud of him. He is such an excellent baseball player and he is very much looking forward to it! Here is a picture of him from last season...isn't he just a cutie!?!

And look at his form in this picture...

Well, back to work! Have a sunshiney day!

Good morning!

To view my Circle of Words for Week #9, click here

Wow! What a weekend that was. We had a wonderful time! It was definitely some much needed R & R and I am feeling very rested!! After my post on Saturday, all of us girls went out for lunch in Conway and then off to do some shopping! Don't you just love to shop!?! I do, and I always manage to get myself into trouble for spending too much money. LOL But, it was worth it and we had a blast. After our shopping spree, my sister got her belly button pierced and Amber got a tattoo! Oh my gosh! That really looks painful! :o) Then we headed home for a nice steak dinner that my Dad fixed for us all. After dinner, we all got dolled up and headed out for a night on the town. We went to a place called West End in Little Rock. It's sort of like a sports bar, it's very nice, has a dress code, and couches/chairs. We had a really great time. They have the best cheese fries you'll ever find!!! Sunday, we headed home. It was nice to get home to our families. Tanner just about knocked me down when he ran up to me to hug my neck. It really made my day!

I've got a test tonight, and lots of work to do here to catch up, so I better get back to work so that I can finish up and do some studying this afternoon. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I will get the pictures developed and post them here for you. Have a radiant day! :o)

Here's my Tuesday This or That:

1. Married or single? Married
2. Knit or crochet? Neither...never learned how!
3. Homebody or world traveller? Homebody
4. "Star Search" or "American Idol"? Neither...I have class on those nights!
5. Dancing or karaoke? Dancing!
6. Elvis Presley or Elvis Costello? Elvis Presley
7. Bus or train? Would love to ride a train some day
8. Batman or Superman? Batman
9. Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate
10. Which came first...the chicken or the egg? The chicken :o)

Good Saturday morning everyone!!

We are having a wonderful time so far!! Thursday, we left work early and rushed down here, changed and left for the play. Cats was great!!! I had the best time and I really enjoyed it. Yesterday morning, we slept in, got up to a huge breakfast made by Dad, and then laid around for the rest of the day. It was so nice! We watched movies, ate all kinds of fattening food, and did absolutely nothing. (hee hee) Yesterday evening we went to our grandmother's for catfish and fries and headed back out here.

So, here I am up and at 'em this morning. No one is up be my dad and me....he is making coffee for me! It is so peaceful and beautiful out here. My Mom and Dad's place sits in the middle of 1,200 acres. The living area is completely surrounded by windows so the view is absolutely beautiful. The ducks are swimming across the pond, the birds are chirping, the horses are running across the pasture, the cows are grazing in the background, the sun is shining beautifully, there is a slight breeze blowing...my, my, my how beautiful it is out here!

We are all headed to town today to do some shopping, lunch, and whatever else comes to mind. Dad is fixing steaks for dinner tonight and then I think us girls are going to head to Little Rock for a night on the town. It should be a great day! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend. We picked a great weekend to take a break because the weather is absolutely perfect. It should be about 75 degrees today! :o) Have a radiant day.

Good morning!

Well, today is the day that we leave for our big road trip and I am SO excited! I don't have much time to blog today, but I will visit everyone since I didn't have time to do it yesterday. I hope you all have a great weekend and I will blog while I'm at Mom's to let you all know how we're doing! Mom's got a digital camera, so I'll post some pics while I'm there too! The Broadway is going to be great tonight! I wish I could take you all with me!

Have a great day! :o)

Good morning to ya!
Happy Hump Day!

Ah! Just one more day until my long weekend! Woo hoo! I am going to Little Rock tomorrow night with my Mom, my sister, and my best friend to see the Broadway play Cats. I am really excited about it. We have all taken Friday off (my sister, my friend and I all work together), and Mom has cleared her flight schedule for the weekend...and it is going to be girls weekend!! We are all going to be hanging out at Mom and Dad's for the weekend. My other best friend Leah is coming down Friday after she gets off work. No kids, no men, no work, no school...just just girls for 3 full days of relaxing and doing absolutely nothing more than we want to do! How great is that!?!? I am so looking forward to it!

If you would like to read my Circle of Words for this week,

Good morning!

I'm sorry I am so late blogging this morning! I had to leave early yesterday to go to the doctor and I've been busy sending out adoptions this morning...boy there sure was a lot of requests! I love it! You should stop by my adoption shop and check out all the new adoptions. Click here if you'd like to see.

I wanted to fill you all in on what's going on with my health. Some of you may remember my post from a few months ago about my problem with endometriosis and the lack of my doctor's interest to fix the problem. My old doctor recommended having a hysterectomy or having a baby to get rid of the endometriosis. I am too young (per my doctor) for a hysterectomy and my husband has had a vasectomy, so having a child was out of the question. So, he just kept sending me on my way...UGH!! Well, I went to a new doctor yesterday and started a new treatment! He has put me on a monthly shot call Depo Lupron. The shots are $1,000.00 each! Can you believe that?!?!?!? I will take the shots for 6 months to a year. They will put me in a semi-menopausal state, thus no more monthly cycles. (woo hoo!) :o) LOL This will keep the endometriosis from having anything to feed off of, therefore killing it off. Once that happens I will probably be facing a minor surgery to have the remains removed. I can only hope that this will fix my problem. I have been ill and having problems with this for over 2 years now and I am so ready to start feeling "good" again! Thank you for listening to me talk about my medical problems...it's good to know that something is being done to help me out! This doctor is concerned with my needs and "wants" to help me. I am so thankful!

Now on to ask for some advice...do any of you have any idea as to why my 9 year old would all of the sudden be afraid of the dark? For years he has slept with his door closed (per his own request) and now, all of the sudden, he wants the door open and the hall light on. It concerns me....even though his dad thinks it's nothing. Do y'all think I should be concerned?

I found this really cool No Right Click script the other day...I have installed it here on my blog. Check it out! Just click anywhere other than in this inline frame. It's pretty neat! I also had a new custom set made by Tara at Country Junction and I will be putting it up this week sometime. It's so cute and "Springy"!!! Anyway...have a radiant day!

Good Monday Morning!

I've got a lot to do today, but I just wanted to stop in to say hello. It's a new month, so I have a lot of reports to do here at work and I have a doctor's appointment at 2:00 this afternoon. I will try to post again later today and I will visit all my buddies tonight! Have a super day! :o)

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I love to read novels & poetry, however I spend a lot of my time reading text books! Some day, when school is finished, I will get back to reading the good stuff!

2. What is your favorite novel?
There are too many to name!

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
I have several favorite poems! Just about any poem by Shell Silverstein is my favorite. But I do so love this poem:

Standing Under the Waterfall of Your Love

Through my life, I have searched for a soul mate, someone that could understand me for who I am. I have chased many rainbows only to feel incomplete upon the end of my journey. I have prayed and studied on how to become a complete man and spouse. Through my study I have concluded that love is a waterfall. Some choose the path to stand underneath the same waterfall their entire life, to endure the plentiful water and the dry times. Yet, others choose to change waterfalls because they never want to endure the dryness that life often brings. A waterfall is an accumulation of rain and ground water in our lives. Many are afraid of the storms because they will often bring
uncertain times in our lives, or could bring plentiful rain. The second set of people is the people that completely depend on the ground waters of stability. These are the tables in our life that shows the rings of endurance through the difficult storms. All of these things are in vain because once we are old, we often can just barely remember the waterfalls that we had in our life. My heart sings because I was given the chance to stand underneath the waterfall of your love....

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
I wish I had more time to read novels and such...

5. What are you currently reading?
Biological Science :o)

This weather is really something! I am so ready for spring and summer. The ice is pretty much gone...now it's foggy, rainy, and very cold. I guess this stuff will all freeze again tonight! Ugh!! The kids are back in school today...Austin was actually excited. He was getting bored, I think. The weather that we've had isn't something that they could really go outside and enjoy so I'm thinking he had a severe case of cabin fever! I never thought I'd see the day that he'd be excited about going back to school! :o)

Well, I heard about Mr. Rogers' passing on the news this morning. Isn't that just so sad? I remember watching him all the time as a little girl. Bless his heart...may he rest in peace.

I've got yet another test tonight...yay! (not) :o) It's a Business Law test, but I don't think it will be that bad. My class was canceled Tuesday night, so I feel really rested and ready to face the world! It's amazing to me how one extra night at home can make me feel so much better. I guess I just run and run and run until I wear myself down. Anyway...I've rambled enough I suppose! I guess I should get some work done. Have a radiant day!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh my gosh! It is so cold outside!!! We got more freezing rain last night and they are calling for more of this stuff every day until Tuesday! I can't believe this weather. There is ice everywhere and everywhere you look there is a car in the ditch, a truck in the ditch, people walking on the roads....it's just terrible. I was excited to get out of going to class last night...they canceled both day and night classes! Woo hoo!! The kids are out of school again today. Austin is loving it! Although, he's not too excited about having to go to day care with his little brother. He begged his dad to take him to work with him today. Bless his little heart. I just hate that he is getting these snow days off from school and not getting to enjoy it...but, when it's just ice, there's not much to do.

Chad had to work last night, so the boys and I hung out at the house after I got off work. We made pot holders, played Uno, made dinner, and then made some jell-o. It was fun!

Back to work for me! It's nearing the end of the month and I have a lot of reports to get prepared for. Stay warm and have a radiant day! :o)

Good morning!

Thank you all for the get well wishes on my tag board and in my mail box! You are all a wonderful bunch of friends! I am feeling much better today. I got some much needed rest (in front of the fire) last night. Chad fixed dinner, I had no studying to do, the house was clean, so I just rested in a vegetated state last night!

Boy, is it a mess here today! It snowed for a while last night, but somehow we have ended up with a solid sheet of ice all over the roads. My usual 20-minute commute to work took me an hour this morning. Wow! And it is cold, cold, cold outside! School was cancelled today, so Austin is very excited about that! They also cancelled day classes at the college, so let's keep our fingers crossed that they cancel classes tonight, too!!

I guess I better get to work. I was in a zombie state of mind yesterday and just didn't get much accomplished. :o) I hope you have a great day today and :::stay warm:::

Good morning...

This is going to be short and sweet today, friends. I am not feeling well at all. I think I am coming down with the flu or something. I will try to visit my daily reads later today. The test went okay yesterday...not as well as I hoped, but I guess it will have to do. Have a good day. :o)

Good Friday morning!

Two down and one to go!!! I aced my Business Law exam last night...woo hoo!!! Thank you all so much for your encouraging words and your support through this very stressful week. I will be spending most of the day tomorrow preparing for it. As most of you know, I don't usually blog on the weekends, but I will try to log on and post on Sunday so you will all know how the Biological Science exam turns out. It's a huge test and I have spent lots of time preparing for it. I will be so glad when it's over!

I've got plans for ME tonight! I am going to the scrapbook store for a crop and I am going to do a little scrapping with Leah, Robin, and Christy!! I am so excited. It will be a welcome break from this scrupulously long week! It starts at 6:00 and goes until we get tired of scrapbooking. I absolutely cannot wait!

Tomorrow morning, I will get up and begin studying, then head to Austin's last basketball game. Then...Baseball season kicks in for us. WOOOO HOOOO!!!! We are huge baseball fans and so looking forward to the hot weather, the long, lazy days at the ballpark, and a few home runs!

Before I go, I wanted to share a gift with you all that Tammy sent me! Thank you so much, Tammy...you're a sweetheart!

1. What is your most prized material possession?
My most prized material possession would be my house. We have a brand new house that we just moved into last year and I love it!!!

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
That's hard to answer...I guess it would have to be a dictionary that I have that belonged to my father when he was young. I have had it for 20+ years.

3. Are you a packrat?
I say no, but my husband would tell you yes!

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
I would have to go with spic-and-span on this one. My friends would probably tell you that I am very "anal" about things in my house...windows must be clean, coffee table must be cleared, glasses go in the cabinet a certain way, toilet paper must roll over the top...little things like that!

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
All of the rooms in my house have a theme...

Good Morning!

I don't have much time to post this morning. I have lots of work to do today and funeral to attend this afternoon. I did want to let you all know that I am here! :o)

I did get lots of kisses from Austin last night. He said that he will kiss me at home but not in public where people can see. LOL He's such a 9-year-old!! :o)

Before I go, I wanted to share these two wonderful gifts that I found in my mailbox yesterday...Thank you Julie and Becky for thinking of me!! I am so honored...

Have a radiant day!! :o)

Good morning!

Thank you all so much for your encouraging words on my tag board and for the wonderful cards that you've sent!! It means so much to me to know that I have so many friends out there. I've gotten one of the tests out of the way >>made 100% on it<< and now I just have two to go this week. One tomorrow night and one this weekend. Whew...study, study, study!

I have discovered that Austin (9 years old) suddenly thinks that it is "uncool" to kiss his mother. {{sigh}} I brought him to work with me this morning because he has an eye doctor appointment at 8:30. We didn't know if my husband was going to be able to take him or not so just came in with me. Chad came by to pick him up after checking his schedule for the day. I walked them up to the front door, kissed Chad goodbye and then looked at Austin, fully expecting a kiss from him (keep in mind there are two receptionists sitting at the front entrance). Austin looked at with this "you've got to be kidding" look on his face. I told him to come give me a kiss and he let this huge sigh out. So, he kissed me on the cheek and then wiped his lips off...all the while he was laughing. My, my, my...I never thought I'd see the day that he didn't want to kiss me, but I guess most boys go through that.

I made another strange discovery this week too. It has been brought to my attention that my youngest son's day care is making the kids take their shoes off after all the parents have left each morning. What the heck is up with that?!? I was furious. No wonder he's had a runny nose and dirty socks for weeks. The entire day care floor is tile...which tends to stay cold in the winter time. We confronted day care about it this morning and they told us that they do it to cut down on their cleaning time each afternoon. Well I don't hardly think so. I told her that if the floors were so dang clean from making the kids take their shoes off every day, his socks wouldn't be so dang black!! I pay damn good money to that preschool each week and my child will keep his shoes on, or else! Tanner also told me that last week, when the day care inspector was in for the week, that they all kept their shoes on. Now, why is it that they would want to hide that from the inspector?!? Hmmmmmm....maybe because is't unhealthy?!? Ugh!!! Okay...now y'all tell me if you think I am upset for no reason. I need some honest opinions. My kids don't even run around our home barefoot in the winter time...we wear house shoes as to prevent illness and cold feet.

Okay...I guess I am finished venting and this post probably turned into much more than you wanted to read today!!! It's cold, rainy, and dreary here today, so send some sunshine my way! Y'all have a radiant day!!!

Good morning, everyone!

Stress...stress...stress...

I am really starting to feel the pressure. I have a Biological Science Lab Test tonight, a Business Law test Thursday night, and then this weekend I have a HUGE Biological Science test. I'm not sure my nerves will make it through this week. {{sigh}} I have already studied a lot for this test this weekend, but I just don't think I am ready for it quite yet. The time that I am going to have to spend at the library to prepare for it almost scares me! I think maybe the college should put some sort of memorial dedicated to me in there because of all the time I do spend in there! LOL I'm not eating, I'm staying up late (getting about 4 hours of sleep each night), I am smoking way too much (considering I was trying to quit), my kids think I live at the library...yada, yada, yada...the list goes on!

Well...I guess I better get back to work. Maybe if I get caught up, I can find some spare time this afternoon to study. Thanks for listening to me vent about my stress...maybe later I can come up with something brilliantly funny to repay you all for listening (not likely, unless it has something to do with school LOL LOL).

Here's my Tuesay This or That

1. Black or white?
Black...it makes me look thinner!

2. Plaid or stripes?
Stripes

3. Paperback or hardcover books?
Hardcover

4. Color or B&W printer?
Color...definitely

5. Golden oldies or the newest tunes?
I like oldies...to me oldies is music from the 80's

6. Ice cream: in a cone or a dish?
In a dish!

7. Bath or shower?
Bath...long, hot bath in my jacuzzi!

8. Are you outgoing or shy?
Outgoing...sometimes a little too outgoing :o)

9. Answer the phone when it rings, or screen calls?
Screen calls...I definitely check the Caller ID first!

10. VCR or TiVO?
I guess I would choose VCR, but I never record anything
