1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I love to read novels & poetry, however I spend a lot of my time reading text books! Some day, when school is finished, I will get back to reading the good stuff!
2. What is your favorite novel?
There are too many to name!
3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
I have several favorite poems! Just about any poem by Shell Silverstein is my favorite. But I do so love this poem:
Standing Under the Waterfall of Your Love
Through my life, I have searched for a soul mate, someone that could understand me for who I am. I have chased many rainbows only to feel incomplete upon the end of my journey. I have prayed and studied on how to become a complete man and spouse. Through my study I have concluded that love is a waterfall. Some choose the path to stand underneath the same waterfall their entire life, to endure the plentiful water and the dry times. Yet, others choose to change waterfalls because they never want to endure the dryness that life often brings. A waterfall is an accumulation of rain and ground water in our lives. Many are afraid of the storms because they will often bring
uncertain times in our lives, or could bring plentiful rain. The second set of people is the people that completely depend on the ground waters of stability. These are the tables in our life that shows the rings of endurance through the difficult storms. All of these things are in vain because once we are old, we often can just barely remember the waterfalls that we had in our life. My heart sings because I was given the chance to stand underneath the waterfall of your love....
4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
I wish I had more time to read novels and such...
5. What are you currently reading?
Biological Science :o)

This weather is really something! I am so ready for spring and summer. The ice is pretty much gone...now it's foggy, rainy, and very cold. I guess this stuff will all freeze again tonight! Ugh!! The kids are back in school today...Austin was actually excited. He was getting bored, I think. The weather that we've had isn't something that they could really go outside and enjoy so I'm thinking he had a severe case of cabin fever! I never thought I'd see the day that he'd be excited about going back to school! :o)
Well, I heard about Mr. Rogers' passing on the news this morning. Isn't that just so sad? I remember watching him all the time as a little girl. Bless his heart...may he rest in peace.
I've got yet another test tonight...yay! (not) :o) It's a Business Law test, but I don't think it will be that bad. My class was canceled Tuesday night, so I feel really rested and ready to face the world! It's amazing to me how one extra night at home can make me feel so much better. I guess I just run and run and run until I wear myself down. Anyway...I've rambled enough I suppose! I guess I should get some work done. Have a radiant day!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Oh my gosh! It is so cold outside!!! We got more freezing rain last night and they are calling for more of this stuff every day until Tuesday! I can't believe this weather. There is ice everywhere and everywhere you look there is a car in the ditch, a truck in the ditch, people walking on the roads....it's just terrible. I was excited to get out of going to class last night...they canceled both day and night classes! Woo hoo!! The kids are out of school again today. Austin is loving it! Although, he's not too excited about having to go to day care with his little brother. He begged his dad to take him to work with him today. Bless his little heart. I just hate that he is getting these snow days off from school and not getting to enjoy it...but, when it's just ice, there's not much to do.
Chad had to work last night, so the boys and I hung out at the house after I got off work. We made pot holders, played Uno, made dinner, and then made some jell-o. It was fun!
Back to work for me! It's nearing the end of the month and I have a lot of reports to get prepared for. Stay warm and have a radiant day! :o)
Good morning!
Thank you all for the get well wishes on my tag board and in my mail box! You are all a wonderful bunch of friends! I am feeling much better today. I got some much needed rest (in front of the fire) last night. Chad fixed dinner, I had no studying to do, the house was clean, so I just rested in a vegetated state last night!
Boy, is it a mess here today! It snowed for a while last night, but somehow we have ended up with a solid sheet of ice all over the roads. My usual 20-minute commute to work took me an hour this morning. Wow! And it is cold, cold, cold outside! School was cancelled today, so Austin is very excited about that! They also cancelled day classes at the college, so let's keep our fingers crossed that they cancel classes tonight, too!!
I guess I better get to work. I was in a zombie state of mind yesterday and just didn't get much accomplished. :o) I hope you have a great day today and :::stay warm:::
Good morning...
This is going to be short and sweet today, friends. I am not feeling well at all. I think I am coming down with the flu or something. I will try to visit my daily reads later today. The test went okay yesterday...not as well as I hoped, but I guess it will have to do. Have a good day. :o)
Good Friday morning!
Two down and one to go!!! I aced my Business Law exam last night...woo hoo!!! Thank you all so much for your encouraging words and your support through this very stressful week. I will be spending most of the day tomorrow preparing for it. As most of you know, I don't usually blog on the weekends, but I will try to log on and post on Sunday so you will all know how the Biological Science exam turns out. It's a huge test and I have spent lots of time preparing for it. I will be so glad when it's over!
I've got plans for ME tonight! I am going to the scrapbook store for a crop and I am going to do a little scrapping with Leah, Robin, and Christy!! I am so excited. It will be a welcome break from this scrupulously long week! It starts at 6:00 and goes until we get tired of scrapbooking. I absolutely cannot wait!
Tomorrow morning, I will get up and begin studying, then head to Austin's last basketball game. Then...Baseball season kicks in for us. WOOOO HOOOO!!!! We are huge baseball fans and so looking forward to the hot weather, the long, lazy days at the ballpark, and a few home runs!
Before I go, I wanted to share a gift with you all that Tammy sent me! Thank you so much, Tammy...you're a sweetheart!

1. What is your most prized material possession?
My most prized material possession would be my house. We have a brand new house that we just moved into last year and I love it!!!
2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
That's hard to answer...I guess it would have to be a dictionary that I have that belonged to my father when he was young. I have had it for 20+ years.
3. Are you a packrat?
I say no, but my husband would tell you yes!
4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
I would have to go with spic-and-span on this one. My friends would probably tell you that I am very "anal" about things in my house...windows must be clean, coffee table must be cleared, glasses go in the cabinet a certain way, toilet paper must roll over the top...little things like that!
5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
All of the rooms in my house have a theme...
Good Morning!
I don't have much time to post this morning. I have lots of work to do today and funeral to attend this afternoon. I did want to let you all know that I am here! :o)
I did get lots of kisses from Austin last night. He said that he will kiss me at home but not in public where people can see. LOL He's such a 9-year-old!! :o)
Before I go, I wanted to share these two wonderful gifts that I found in my mailbox yesterday...Thank you Julie and Becky for thinking of me!! I am so honored...

Have a radiant day!! :o)
Good morning!
Thank you all so much for your encouraging words on my tag board and for the wonderful cards that you've sent!! It means so much to me to know that I have so many friends out there. I've gotten one of the tests out of the way >>made 100% on it<< and now I just have two to go this week. One tomorrow night and one this weekend. Whew...study, study, study!
I have discovered that Austin (9 years old) suddenly thinks that it is "uncool" to kiss his mother. {{sigh}} I brought him to work with me this morning because he has an eye doctor appointment at 8:30. We didn't know if my husband was going to be able to take him or not so just came in with me. Chad came by to pick him up after checking his schedule for the day. I walked them up to the front door, kissed Chad goodbye and then looked at Austin, fully expecting a kiss from him (keep in mind there are two receptionists sitting at the front entrance). Austin looked at with this "you've got to be kidding" look on his face. I told him to come give me a kiss and he let this huge sigh out. So, he kissed me on the cheek and then wiped his lips off...all the while he was laughing. My, my, my...I never thought I'd see the day that he didn't want to kiss me, but I guess most boys go through that.
I made another strange discovery this week too. It has been brought to my attention that my youngest son's day care is making the kids take their shoes off after all the parents have left each morning. What the heck is up with that?!? I was furious. No wonder he's had a runny nose and dirty socks for weeks. The entire day care floor is tile...which tends to stay cold in the winter time. We confronted day care about it this morning and they told us that they do it to cut down on their cleaning time each afternoon. Well I don't hardly think so. I told her that if the floors were so dang clean from making the kids take their shoes off every day, his socks wouldn't be so dang black!! I pay damn good money to that preschool each week and my child will keep his shoes on, or else! Tanner also told me that last week, when the day care inspector was in for the week, that they all kept their shoes on. Now, why is it that they would want to hide that from the inspector?!? Hmmmmmm....maybe because is't unhealthy?!? Ugh!!! Okay...now y'all tell me if you think I am upset for no reason. I need some honest opinions. My kids don't even run around our home barefoot in the winter time...we wear house shoes as to prevent illness and cold feet.
Okay...I guess I am finished venting and this post probably turned into much more than you wanted to read today!!! It's cold, rainy, and dreary here today, so send some sunshine my way! Y'all have a radiant day!!!

Good morning, everyone!
Stress...stress...stress...
I am really starting to feel the pressure. I have a Biological Science Lab Test tonight, a Business Law test Thursday night, and then this weekend I have a HUGE Biological Science test. I'm not sure my nerves will make it through this week. {{sigh}} I have already studied a lot for this test this weekend, but I just don't think I am ready for it quite yet. The time that I am going to have to spend at the library to prepare for it almost scares me! I think maybe the college should put some sort of memorial dedicated to me in there because of all the time I do spend in there! LOL I'm not eating, I'm staying up late (getting about 4 hours of sleep each night), I am smoking way too much (considering I was trying to quit), my kids think I live at the library...yada, yada, yada...the list goes on!
Well...I guess I better get back to work. Maybe if I get caught up, I can find some spare time this afternoon to study. Thanks for listening to me vent about my stress...maybe later I can come up with something brilliantly funny to repay you all for listening (not likely, unless it has something to do with school LOL LOL).
Here's my Tuesay This or That
1. Black or white?
Black...it makes me look thinner!
2. Plaid or stripes?
Stripes
3. Paperback or hardcover books?
Hardcover
4. Color or B&W printer?
Color...definitely
5. Golden oldies or the newest tunes?
I like oldies...to me oldies is music from the 80's
6. Ice cream: in a cone or a dish?
In a dish!
7. Bath or shower?
Bath...long, hot bath in my jacuzzi!
8. Are you outgoing or shy?
Outgoing...sometimes a little too outgoing :o)
9. Answer the phone when it rings, or screen calls?
Screen calls...I definitely check the Caller ID first!
10. VCR or TiVO?
I guess I would choose VCR, but I never record anything

Good morning!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I know I did! Chad and I took the boys to town with us on Friday night and did a little shopping. We had a candle light dinner...at CHIC FIL A!!! It was so funny! We went to walk in and I thought something was wrong with their electricity...we almost left! Turns out, they were celebrating Valentine's Day with a candle light dinner. The boys really thought that was cool!
I got me some new Dr. Maartin's, we got a new propane for the fireplace (we've been in our new house almost a year and we're just now setting it up!), and Chad got a new subwoofer for our surround sound system. He is in hog heaven! We spent a lot of money, but it was nice. We don't do that very often.
Saturday night, Chad and I joined a friend of mine and his wife for dinner at Applebee's. We had a really great time. Yesterday, I had a lingerie party and we had a blast! I love buying that stuff. The boys went and did the grocery shopping for me while us girls played with pajamas (LOL). It was nice to not have to go do it...I hate grocery shopping!
Anyway...I must get back to work now. I hope you have a sunshiney day!

It's love day and I can feel it in the air! There are roses, balloons, and candy everywhere here at the office! I woke up at 5:30 as usual this morning, went in to take a shower only to find a small, shiny, red box on the bathroom counter. Beside it was a single rose. I opened the box and there was a beautiful watch inside! My hubby is such a sweetie! I love it!! As I was leaving for work, my youngest son told me that he loved me more today because it is Valentine's Day! So sweet! I tortured myself trying to figure out what to get Chad for Valentine's Day...he is so hard to buy for sometimes. As I was walking through the store last night, I remembered him saying something to me about not ever seeing Pearl Harbor. So, I bought him the movie on DVD and got a sweet card to go with it. I think I did well...he liked it! We have decided to wait until tomorrow night to go out to dinner so that we don't have to rush home from work and all that mess. Everything will be packed tonight anyway. So, I am looking forward to tomorrow night.
It's raining here today and is supposed to get really nasty this afternoon....severe thunderstorms are in the forecast. :o( I guess I can just consider it showers of love!
Back to work now! Have a sunshiney day!
Good morning friends!
I hope your morning is off to a great start today. I know mine is! The boys got up and got dressed like clockwork this morning. It was so nice. Tanner...bless his little heart. He's got this terrible cold and his little nose is so red from blowing it so much. Austin got a cough too. I will be so glad when it warms up so that everyone can get well.
Well, just one more day until Valentine's Day! Do you have any big plans? I'm not sure if we're doing anything or not. Chad hasn't said a word about it. Do you get your husband something each year for Valentine's Day? My husband says it's a woman's holiday and doesn't want me getting him anything. Is that normal?!? LOL
I guess I better get back to work. It's supposed to rain here today, and tomorrow, and all weekend. Blah! I just don't really care for rain in the winter...summer is okay. Anyway...back to work! Have a sunshiney day!
Happy Wednesday bloggin' buddies!
YES! Another "A" in the gradebook for me! Woo hoo! I am trying so hard to make the Dean's List again this semester. I was worried in the beginning, becuase it is going to be such a tough one, but so far so good! It really does a girl good to get an excellent grade on something when you've worked so hard for it, you know?!? I sure hope y'all don't get tired of hearing me talk about school...it's just darn important to me and I love sharing it with everyone! I wish that all of my online buddies could come to my graduation in May...THAT would be cool! :o)
I don't really have much else to blog about today...I do want to thank everyone that has adopted the new adoption at my shoppe in support of our troops. It leaves a warm feeling in my heart knowing that there are so many out there that are praying for our soldiers. Thanks!
Have a radiant day!
Good morning!!!
Yesterday was a pretty good day. I had a nice steady pace here at work...not too busy. I went straight home from work. NO LIBRARY!! Woo hoo!! I guess the only thing that saved me from going to the library last night was that Austin had an early basketball game. They are usually at 8:00, but he played at 6:30 last night. It was nice to actually be able to go home from work for once. Austin played really well last night. He scored several points. They won! We have only lost one game so far this season.
I have to tell you what Tanner did this weekend. It was just Tanner and me Sunday evening and we played and goofed off a little. Then he decided that he was going to go to his room and play for a while. I was laying on the couch, watching Lifetime :o), taking a little break. Tanner came in and crawled up on the couch with me. He looked up at me and asked, "Mom, how far is it to the moon?" I told him if he had asked me that back in 8th grade I could have told him. LOL (I'm sure I've learned that at some point in my life). Then he asked, "Mom, how far is it to the top of God's head?" Once again, I told him I didn't know, but that it was a long, long way. He looked up at me and said, "Well that's how much I love you!" Isn't that just the sweetest thing you've ever heard?!? Melted my heart!
I updated my Adoption Shoppe yesterday too. I added some really great adoptions from Cassandra and Renee...you must stop by and check them out. Two of them are in honor of our troops overseas. Let me know what you think!

8. Hot or cold cereal?

9. To put in cereal: bananas or strawberries (or some other fruit)?
None of the above!
10. Eat breakfast at home or at a restaurant?
I don't usually eat breakfast during the week, but on the weekends I eat breakfast at home.
Good Monday Morning, Friends!!
What a weekend that was! We had MORE snow this weekend! Arkansans are just in shock! I think this is the most snow we have had in 10 years, or more. We always just get ice! The boys absolutely loved it! We did a little sledding yesterday. My sister Casey and my niece Kaitlynn came over to join in on the fun! We had a blast. After that, Austin (my oldest) went back to his little "girlfriend's" house for some more sledding. He had a wonderful time! Tanner and I just hung out at the house. Chad had to work, so it was nice to spend some quality time with him. We giggled a lot, I tickled him, he tickled me...
I actually got into bed early last night...about 9:30. Needless to say, I am raring to go today! I didn't touch one single textbook this weekend either. I get so tired of studying, so I just swore it off this weekend! Friday night, I Tanner and I went to dinner with my sister, my friend Leah and her boyfriend (and my friend) Blake. Then we went to see How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. It was hilarious! You must go see it!
I would like to wish my friend, Karen a Happy Birthday today. She is the wonderful artist who made the graphics for my blog.
Happy Birthday Karen!!!

I would like to start today's entry by wishing my good blogging buddy Julie a Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day, Julie!

It's really, really cold out today...about 18 degrees when I got up this morning! I had class last night and I guess it was okay. I've really enjoyed this Business Law class so far, but last night it was a little uninspiring. We were talking about Administrative Agency Law...FCC, FDA, EPA etc. Boring!! You know, it amazes me that those agencies have so darn much power. They can pretty much do anything!
I added another new adoption to my Adoption Shoppe today...Stop by and take a peek! It's a cute blog adoption!
The boys were really excited to see me when I got home...that is always the perfect end to a long day! I don't have much planned for the weekend. I need to study for a big Biology test that is coming up next week. It's going to be a tough one.
I guess I better get back to work...it's Friday, so here's my Friday Five...

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not?
I didn't have breakfast this morning. I don't eat breakfast mainly because I am always trying to lose weight, but also because I never have time to eat in the mornings! I would have to get up earlier to arrange my morning routine so that I could fit breakfast in, so I just don't eat.
2. What's your favorite cereal?
My favorite cereal is Golden Grahams.
3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change?
I eat out for lunch every day with a bunch of friends from here at work. As far as in the evenings with my family, we don't eat out that much because of my busy schedule with school.
4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that?
We will probably have something simple. Chad has a meeting to go to tonight, so the boys and I just might go to McDonald's or something! No recipe needed! :o)
5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why?
My favorite restaurant is Red Lobster...why? Because I love seafood!!!!!

I expected to wake up to a sheet of ice all over everything this morning...much to my surprise, there is SNOW everywhere!!! The boys are so excited! School was canceled for Austin's school today so we let Tanner stay home from preschool too. They are with their grandparents and I am just sure that they are out playing in it right now! It's so sweet to watch them get so excited about the snow. Austin was running through the house yelling this morning from the excitement of school being canceled! They BOTH went out to feed the puppies this morning...which is unusual. I guess they just needed a reason to be out in it!
Busy day here at the office today...I hope you all have a wonderful day and stay :::warm:::
Good Wednesday Morning, Friends!
Yes!!! Another Biology test out of the way...another "A" in the grade book! Woo hoo! I am so excited I could just run around the building (well maybe not...it's too darn cold out and I am certainly not in good enough shape to be running anywhere)!! I have studied my butt off for this class. Our instructor is a "Dr." of Biology, so he eats, breathes, and sleeps this stuff and just gets so freaking excited about it. It's hilarious to watch him get into what we're doing in lab.
When I got home from class, hubby told me I needed to wake Tanner up (my youngest). So I went in to kiss him and I woke him up. I asked him why he wanted me to wake him up, and it was like a switch went on...the tears started falling. Broke my heart! He said that he doesn't like going to bed without me tucking him in (when I'm at school). It was so sweet. I assured him that I tuck him every night that I get home from class, but that he doesn't always know it because he's asleep. So he gave me a big kiss and a hug and was back to sleep in a matter of seconds. Isn't that just so darn sweet?!? Austin...he's another story. He was off to dreamland without another thought...probably dreaming of Brittany! LOL
They are calling for a half inch of ice here and we are under a Winter Storm Watch. Good ole Arkansas weather...70's this past weekend and now we are going to be iced in. Yeah buddy...no wonder we're all so sick! I hope you all have a radiant day and stay WARM.
Good morning friends!
I hope you are all doing well today. I had a busy weekend, as usual! Saturday morning, I went to get my hair done bright and early. I get it foiled every three months and it was definitely time to get it done! My hairdresser is the best...she laughs at me when I wait too long to get it done! :o) So, I'm blonde again (my hair is naturally blonde, but it is getting darker as I get older...Jennifer takes care of that little problem for me)! I got my eyebrows done while I was there too...I thought we were going to have to take a brush hog after them! LOL
After I finished up there, I went to help my sister get settled into her new house. I am so very excited for her. She and Kaitlynn finally have a place that they can call their own and they are so deserving of it! We unpacked for a while, then went to Austin's basketball game (which he won), and then went to town to get some things she needed for the house. After that I went home to get ready for the Sweet Pea Pageant. My friend Robin's daughter was in it...she looked absolutely adorable! After the pageant, I went back to Casey's (my sister) and we all curled up and watched a movie...Saving Sarah. It was a really funny movie!
Sunday, I took the boys to see Kangaroo Jack...Great movie! The boys loved it...so did Austin's little "girlfriend" (considering that they are nine years old, I'm not really sure that's what you'd call it)! We decided we'd take her along with us. It was so funny to watch him getting ready for their "date". He was so nervous and he asked his dad what he should say to her when he went to the door. Well, when we got there, her entire family was there to see her off! Her grandfather was sitting on the couch with a shot gun (as a joke of course!)!!! At any rate, they had a great time and really enjoyed the movie. They have been "boyfriend and girlfriend" since first grade...they are now in the fourth grade. Isn't that a little young? I mean I know that kids do stuff like this, but are my kids supposed to?!? LOL :o)
Gotta get back to work...have a radiant day!
Good afternoon friends...I would like to post this graphic in memory of our fallen heros. Have a blessed day.
